Autour d'un superbe foldout orné de mon initiale, un coupon de lin couleur taupe, une boîte en métal renfermant de beaux aimants couronne, de la dentelle, un superbe fil "amitié" ... il y avait
aussi un coupon de tissu et des "bêtises" de Cambrai ! Merci beaucoup Gaëlle !

Lorsque j'ai vu ces petits cadres carrés chez Maisons du Monde, je n'ai pu m'empêcher de les acheter ...
à 5,95 euros l'un, c'était un achat raisonnable. Il fallait juste trouver une petite chose à broder pour mettre à l'intérieur ;-)
Ces petites maisons rouges Tralala m'ont paru idéales pour remplir ce rôle ... brodées sur un fil de trame, avec un brin de rouge DMC 814.
I bought recently two cheap grey square frames, for only 5,95 € each. It took me only a few days to
find how to use them ; these "petites maisons rouges" (small red houses) by Tralala were just the design I was looking for ! Stitched one over one with red DMC 814, they fit perfectly in my new frames.

Je suis assez contente des couleurs que j'ai choisies, bien que peu contrastées.

Le premier juillet était le jour du coup d'envoi d'un nouveau SAL auquel je participe, pour broder le
"My Lady's Quaker" de Nathalie Cichon (Jardin Privé).
Toile et fils sont prêts ... une Cashel "light sand" et trois tonalités "vert-de-gris" de coton mouliné de la marque espagnole ISPE. Pourquoi ISPE ? parce que ces nuances de vert n'existent pas
dans le nuancier DMC, hélas !
On July 1st a new SAL began, and I'm in .... we are stitching "My Lady's Quaker", a chart from Nathalie Cichon (Jardin
Privé).
My fabric and my threads are ready : a Zweigart Cashel "Light Sand", and three shades of grey-green cotton floss by ISPE (these shades are unfortunately not available from
DMC).

C'était mon anniversaire mi-juin et j'ai reçu quelques cadeaux que je tenais à vous montrer. Voici un
ravissant pinkeep "macaron", tout petit, qui rejoint ma collection. Il m'a été envoyé par mon amie Susan, de Pennsylvanie, qui me fait un petit clin d'oeil à propos de ma passion pour les
macarons !
It was my birthday mid-june and I have received a few presents that I would like to share with you.
This cute pinkeep has been sent to me by my friend Susan who lives in Pennsylvania. She knows I love macarons, so she stitched a special pinkeep just for me !!
Elle y a joint cette fiche de Ewe & Eye & Friends, deux tissus primitive et deux échevettes ...
She sent me also a EEF leaflet, as well as two primitive fabrics and two lovely flosses.

Ma nsp, *vj*, m'a offert des moules en silicone, pour faire des mini-cannelés ... je n'en avais pas alors j'étais ravie !
Quelques jours plus tard j'ai pu les tester, et voici le résultat, ils sont délicieux, moelleux à l'intérieur mais tout caramélisés et craquants à l'extérieur ... vous pouvez en savoir
davantage sur cette spécialité de Bordeaux sur le site de Baillardran, le pâtissier ès-cannelés (nécessite RealPlayer), cliquez ici.
My nsp, *vj*, sent me two silicones molds to make "cannelés", which is a specialty from Bordeaux in south west of France. I couldn't wait to try them and here's the result : caramelized outside and smooth inside ... yum yum !

Spécial dédicace pour Clob, cette porte rose située
sur Portobello Road, à Londres. J'y étais il y a quelques jours avec DH, mais ne trouve pas le temps de faire les articles sur notre voyage, c'est dommage.

Aussitôt imprimé, aussitôt brodé, et envoyé en cadeau pour mon amie Susan, qui vit en Pennsylvanie.
I immediately printed it, and started to stitch it. It has crossed the Atlantic to settle down in my friend's Susan's home, in Pennsylvania.

Le fil utilisé par Barb Adams est le "Antique Rose" de Gentle Arts. Je l'aime beaucoup également, mais cette fois-ci j'ai choisi une teinte plus vive, qui contraste avec la toile couleur sable. Il
s'agit de "Lie de vin" d'Atalie, un fil dégradé mais pas trop.
Though I love the "Antique Rose" floss that Barb recommends for this chart, I picked a brighter tone, to highlight my stitching on the sand tone fabric. This is
"Lie de Vin" by Atalie, a slightly variegated floss.
Rempli de copeaux de bois et de lavande française, j'espère qu'il parfumera la maison de Susan pendant
longtemps encore ...
Filled with chips of wood and genuine french lavender, I hope this small cushion will scent Susan's house for a long time ...

Imaginez ma surprise et mon ravissement en découvrant ce petit sac, livré dans ma boîte aux lettres ...
orné d'un dessin Tralala sur deux faces, dans les couleurs prune foncé et anis, il est superbe !
You can imagine my surprise and how deligthed I was to unwrap this gorgeous bag ... with a Tralala design on both sides,
in a plum and anise-coloured fabrics, it is really beautiful !

Mais qui, qui a brodé, puis cousu cette merveille pour me gâter ? C'est Valérie, à qui j'ai rendu un tout petit, petit service il y a quelques
mois ... trois fois rien ! Je n'imaginais pas une seconde recevoir un tel cadeau en retour ...
But who is the fairy who sent me this ? It's Valerie, that I helped a few months ago ... no big deal, really.
I could not imagine that I would receive such a beauty in return.
De plus près voici les petits détails raffinés du sac : les petits liens sur le côté ...
Take a closer look at the knotted ribbon with green beads on the sides of the bag ...
Le bouton en nacre à la base du sac, à la réunion des quatre pointes du tissu ...
On the bottom of the bag, a cute seashell flower button ...

Le 2 mai c'était un jour spécial pour ma nsp, *vj* ... plutôt que de lui acheter une petite cuillère ou un vase, j'ai préféré lui broder un
compagnon de ciseaux pour qu'elle n'oublie pas cette date magique.
May 2nd was a very special day for my nsp, *vj* ... rather than buying her a teaspoon or a
vase, I preferred to stitch this scissors companion for her, in memory of this unforgettable day.
