Boîte brodée 1
Je vous en parlais ici au moment de mon départ en vacances début Février, j'avais reçu deux boîtes de biscuits parfaites pour une petite personnalisation. Ces boîtes m'ont été gentiment envoyées du Japon par Eriko Tsuda, dont je vous invite à visiter le blog et tout particulièrement la galerie de boîtes brodées ("Tin Can Gallery") qui réunit ses créations ainsi que celles d'autres brodeuses internautes à travers le monde.

Pour cette première boîte j'avais choisi un petit décor représentant un couple "quaker" autour d'un chêne, création de Prairie Schooler. L'intérieur de la boîte est tapissé de tissu marron, pour l'extérieur j'ai choisi un vichy beige / écru.
For this first attempt, my choice was to stitch a cute quaker couple next to a big oak tree. The inside of the box is lined with brown fabric, while for the outside I have used a beige/ecru checked cotton.

Pour tenir compagnie à cette boîte voici le petit fob coordonné reprenant la petite madame quaker, mais brodée ici sur une Belfast "cream" en 1/1. Pour la couture ainsi que le gland et la cordelette j'ai utilisé le même bleu que celui de la robe de miss quaker, le DMC 924, que j'aime beaucoup. Au verso, j'ai tout simplement brodé mes initiales.
As a companion to this box, here's the matching fob, with the quaker lady only and my initials at the back, stitched on Belfast cream one over one. For sewing this fob, for the tassel and the twisting cord I have used this gorgeous dark antique blue from DMC, #924. On the back I have stitched my initials only.
