Je vous en avais montré le début il y a quelque temps, le voici terminé et placé au fond d'un petit plateau en bois. Cette création de Marjorie Massey fut un régal à broder sur cette toile 11 fils Graziano.

Ce dessin était vendu à l'origine pour réaliser une poche de tablier, de par sa forme arrondie en bas.
J'ai préféré le broder en un sur un et lui donner une autre destination.
This chart was originally designed to be stitched on an apron pocket (look at the curved shape of the design's bottom). I preferred to use it that
way.
Le plateau, en pin naturel, dormait depuis un certain temps dans mon grenier, je ne sais plus où je l'ai acheté. Il est peint avec de la peinture Dulux Valentine laque satinée coloris "Rouge
Basque". Une petite plaque en verre fin, découpée à la bonne dimension protège la broderie des taches et de la poussière.
I bought a cheap pine tray, and painted it with lake paint (Dulux Valentine "Red Basque"). Then I had a piece of glass cut at the right dimensions in my local
D.I.Y., to protect the stitching from dust and stains.

Voici un pochon offert à Nicky il y a peu, pour
le plaisir d'offrir mais aussi pour la remercier de son accueil lors de notre visite à Baveno l'an dernier.

Baveno show.
Je sais qu'elle aime beaucoup les créations de Carriage House Samplings, aussi j'ai choisi une de leurs créations, "Just a little sampler", pour l'appliquer sur un pochon en lin teint au thé.
I know that she fancies Carriage House Samplings designs, so I picked a little chart from them called "Just a little sampler", and placed it on a tea-dyed

Cela fait bien longtemps que je voulais broder cette série de pères Noël, cette année je me suis enfin
décidée et les voilà terminés juste à temps pour poser dans l'arbre de Noël familial.

I decided to have them hung in my Christmas tree. Done just in time !

... monté en "boudin automnal", qui est allé rejoindre le nord de la France, chez Gaëlle.
J'ai brodé ce petit diagramme de JBW Designs sur une toile Newcastle crème, avec un fil nuancé DMC Color variations que j'adore, le 4130.
For Gaëlle's birthday, I have stitched this small design by JBW Designs on a Zweigart Newcastle linen in cream, and
I have used a DMC variegated cotton thread #4130 "Chilean Sunset", with great autumnal colours.

ce fut un vrai plaisir de voir naître sous mon aiguille ce ravissant bestiaire. Cette fiche de Prairie Schooler est encore disponible, alors
si vous voulez aussi broder Adam et Eve et tous ces animaux, dépêchez-vous de l'acquérir ! Il s'agit du "Book 31". La broderie fait 157 points par 211.

Mon choix de toile n'était peut-être pas des plus judicieux car quelques animaux ressortent mal sur cette couleur beige. Une toile couleur blanc cassé aurait peut-être mieux convenu.
My choice for this "Clay" fabric wasn't maybe the best, because some animals don't show very well on that background colour. A cream colour would suit
best.
Je n'ai pas encore choisi le prochain Prairie Schooler que je vais broder ... difficile de choisir !
I didn't choose yet the next Prairie Schooler design I'm going to stitch ... that's a hard choice !
